ABSTRACT
Anisotes belongs to the Acanthaceae family of plants. Studies have shown this plant to be of a major medical importance especially in the areas of phytochemistry, pharmacognostic and hepatoprotective properties. Detailed microscopic analyses of the leaves, flowers, stems and pollen grain structures were carried out. Electron micrographs from ultra-high field emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM), Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and computer- enhanced phase-contrast microscopic examinations have shown mostly never-reported-before structures of interest to scientists in various fields working on this viable shrub.
